In Support of Locked-out Rocky Mountaineer Employees

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I wish I could be with you today, in person, to show solidarity with you in your fight for fairness and justice.

I'm in Ottawa and want you all to know we are doing all we can to bring pressure to make the Employer act in a fair way.

I know you have endured a long and difficult lock out that has impacted you and your families, both financially and emotionally.

The fact that the Employer chooses to bring in "replacement" workers is unfair and wrong. We call on them today to negotiate in a proper and meaningful way. We also call on Rocky Mountineer to respect your right to picket activities.

You have my support 100%, and we will continue to advocate on your behalf.

I know one day we WILL have the anti-scab legislation so desperately needed at the federal level, to protect the rights of workers. We won't give up until we have it.

In Solidarity,

Libby
