I’m sorry that I cannot be with you today at the 21st Annual Women’s Memorial March, as I’m in Parliament in Ottawa. I’ve had the honour to attend many of the Women’s Memorial Marches over the years.

We know that many had to endure unsafe and difficult situations, and we will pay tribute to them by continuing to build a world of justice; equality; understanding; and compassion for women; and where they are free from violence and oppression.
