Today marks the 26th anniversary of the Air India bombing, a painfully sad day for thousands of Canadian families.
On June 23rd, 1985, 329 people lost their lives in one of Canada’s greatest tragedies as Air India Flight 182 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. Although a Canadian inquiry was launched and completed, many questions remain unanswered. Relatives still struggle to understand how it happened.
Today our hearts go out to each and every one of them. I urge all Canadians to take a moment today to reflect on one of Canada’s most horrendous acts of violence, and join the families in support and solidarity, as they continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones.
