Steve McNally, General Manager
Hyatt Regency Hotel
655 Burrard St.
Vancouver, BC

Dear Mr. McNally,
I am writing to let you know that I am respecting the boycott of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, called for by Hyatt workers and Unite Here Local 40. I understand that workers at the Hyatt Regency have been working without a contract since June.
I believe that some of the major issues for Hyatt workers include housekeeping workload, adequate medical coverage, and retirement benefits. These are critical issues for all workers, but given that Hyatt housekeepers have the greatest number of injuries, compared to other major hotels, I would hope that these issues would be of high concern to the owners and managers of Hyatt.
For most of your workforce, living in Vancouver is very expensive and this is made more difficult when wages do not keep up with the cost of living.
I urge you to work with the Hyatt workers and their bargaining team to address these critical issues, so that a fair contract can be agreed upon as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Libby Davies, MP
